Be Gentle

Be Gentle. The word gentle is written in bold rainbow colours.

What a time this has been…

After almost two years navigating this pandemic, there’s still so much swirling around us. Everyone I know is feeling frazzled, exhausted and worn out. I certainly am.

I don’t have the answers or solutions to the challenges we’re all facing, but I wanted to share a little reminder.

Please be gentle.

Start with yourself.

Wherever you’re at, you are doing an amazing job in unprecedented circumstances. Treat yourself with grace. Find a way to do something that makes you feel good. Even taking 5 minutes alone to take slow, deep breaths can make a difference.

Be gentle with the people around you.

Accept that everyone is navigating this storm in their own canoe. Our canoes come in all shapes, sizes and colours, and we all paddle differently, but everyone is paddling furiously right now. Accept and support. Don’t judge.

Find a small way to share some gentle kindness with someone else. A smile. A few words. A simple gesture. It helps. As a bonus, you’ll probably find that it will lift your own spirits.

Sending a gentle hug your way,

🌈 💜 Janet
